August 10, 2023 – Neenah, WI – Cobblestone Hotels celebrated the grand opening and official ribbon cutting ceremony for their new location in Mosinee, Wisconsin.
Mayor of the City of Mosinee, Brent Jacobson, welcomed the addition of the hotel to the community of Mosinee, and spoke on the benefit that it is expected to bring to the city in partnership with other community assets such as the Central WI Business Park and the Central Wisconsin Airport. “To get to this point, with any of these projects, it’s been a tremendous public, private partnership” said Jacobson, as he thanked the parties that invested their time and money in this project that would ultimately serve the city of Mosinee and its inhabitants.
Multiple groups who are passionate about the economic development of the city were present, including CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Missy Hughes. “It’s incredibly important to have this kind of facility here” said Hughes “to help catalyze those other pieces of economic activity, and that’s one of the reasons that we’re really pleased to be able to step in and help you do this here today”. State Senator Cory Tomczyk also shared his support for the hotel and for Mosinee when he stated that “This is a community investment, it’s going to help everyone, it makes our economy stronger”.

August 9, 2023 – Neenah, WI – Cobblestone Hotels celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for their new brand, the Riverstone Suites in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. This is Cobblestone’s debut construction under their extended stay brand.
This event was attended by members of the Wogernese family, representatives from the Chippewa Falls Chamber of Commerce and the city of Chippewa Falls, the Cobblestone Corporate team, and members of the community. All gathered at the building site of the future Riverstone Suites, where construction has already started on the future hotel.
This extended stay brand was conceptualized by the late CEO and founder of Cobblestone Hotels, Brian Wogernese. The project has been in the works for a number of years, and all of those who gathered at the building site were there not only to celebrate this expansion of the Cobblestone brand, but also to honor the evolution of the brand pioneered by Wogernese.
Mayor Greg Hoffman shared his enthusiasm for the project, which he had been involved in from the early discussions of bringing this hotel to the city. “We always had a vision that this is what would be out here,” Hoffman said, referencing the expansive plot of land where the hotel will be constructed “and to have it actually come together is very humbling for the city and the city staff”.
The Riverstone Suites will be a 58-room facility spanning across four floors. Guests will be able to enjoy Cobblestone’s consistent amenities in the setting of a more self-paced environment than the traditional hotel experience offers. Each guestroom will contain a flat-panel television, sofa, and a kitchenette which includes a stovetop, sink, full sized refrigerator, microwave, and storage cabinets to cater the experience to guests who need long-term lodging solutions.
Attracting long-term visitors and long-term business to the Chippewa Falls area is a goal that many members of the community can get behind. “This isn’t only Chippewa Falls,” said Hoffman. “This is going to be exciting, the opportunities that this is going to bring to the whole community and the whole of Chippewa Falls”.

Laurie Woolslayer, Vice President of Sales and Operations for Diamond Hospitality Services, opened the ceremony with a heartfelt thank you to all of those who helped make the Cobblestone Inn & Suites – Sheldon possible. In attendance were representatives of the Sheldon Chamber & Development Corporation, representatives of the City of Sheldon, representatives from the hotel’s management company Diamond Hospitality Services, LLC, and members of the Cobblestone Hotels team.
Trevor Gottula with the Sheldon Chamber of Commerce shared his enthusiasm for the new hotel, describing the benefit that this hotel will bring to the city in partnership with the Crossroads Pavillion, which is an impressive local event space. “This is going to be a place that people are going to come and stay.” said Gottula, noting that the Cobblestone Inn & Suites is within a short walking distance of the Pavilion.

June 14, 2023 – Neenah, WI – Cobblestone Hotels celebrated the groundbreaking of their new hotel that is coming soon to Winters, Texas.
Members of the investment group, representatives from First Financial Bank, officials from the City of Winters, and officials from Runnels County gathered alongside the Cobblestone Hotel team to reflect on the journey of bringing this hotel to Winters, and the bright future that this development signifies for Winters and the surrounding area.
Doug Wheat, speaking on behalf of the investment group who are financing the hotel, opened the ceremony with a few words about the passion that all members of the investment group share for the City of Winters and the future of Runnels County. Wheat issued his appreciation for all of those who invested in what he described as “One of the largest commercial projects in the history of north Runnels County and a beacon of economic development at Cobblestone Hotel[s]”.
This hotel will be constructed at an intersection of US-83 and TX-153, two major highways that experience a high level of traffic throughout the year. Bill Wheat, also with the investment group, explained that this hotel plays a part in the overall goal of capturing travel revenue for the city of Winters, alongside the The Crossing Travel Market truck stop that is located across the road from the site of the future hotel. “Travelers and truckers all across the state now make advance plans to stop in Winters when they are travelling through this area” Wheat explained, elaborating that the addition of the hotel provides a place to stay overnight in the city in addition to the truck stop providing a convenient stopping point for travelers. “This hotel will provide a platform for Winters to show the best that we can show” Wheat said.
This hotel will be a 35 room, two story facility. Boise City officials, representatives for Cobblestone Hotels, speakers from the investment group and bank who are funding the hotel, and members of the community of Boise City gathered at the site of the future Cobblestone Inn & Suites – Boise City to share their passion for this project and for the future of Boise City. Town Manager Wayne Twyman was among the first to speak, and he shared his outlook on the location where the hotel is being built, and the positive impact that this construction might have on the development of the city. “We’re hoping that this will be a catalyst” Twyman said, “because we have other lots here that we want to have other businesses in”.
The hotel is being built alongside Highway 287, which is a major passage for those travelling through northwestern Oklahoma. Hopes that the addition of the Cobblestone Hotel & Suites to Boise will kickstart further development in Boise City was a sentiment echoed by members of the investment group Larry Crews and Wayne Montgomery. Speaking about the remaining members of the investment group, Montgomery said “the common theme with all of them was not, man let’s make a pile of money, let’s fill our sack. It was, let’s do something new for this community”.

First to speak was Cheryl Sanchez with Baca County Economic Development. Sanchez described her vision for this hotel when she said “It’s going to bring commerce to our community, we’re going to stop people off the highway. We’re going to be able to have conventions and meetings that maybe we couldn’t have before.” Glen (Spike) Asmus spoke on behalf of the County Commissioner’s office, expressing their support over the years for bringing a hotel to Springfield. “It’s something that we’ve thought we needed for a long time” Asmus said.
Tim Shefchik, Vice President of Development for Cobblestone Hotels, referred to Springfield as a “Commerce hub” for surrounding municipalities. The hope is that Springfield will provide quality lodging for anyone travelling to Springfield and Baca County for work, area events and attractions, and beyond. The journey to bringing this hotel to the community would not have been possible without the cooperation and shared vision of multiple different offices. Mayor Tyler Gibson took a moment to reflect on the impact that this project has had on the community of Springfield. “I think that this project has really strengthened the relationship between the county and the town” Gibson said, “and I just want to thank everybody involved in that”.
Jeremy Griesbach, President of Development for Cobblestone Hotels, closed the ceremony with a few words of appreciation to all of those involved in bringing Cobblestone to Springfield. “We appreciate everything” said Griesbach, addressing the investors, First National Bank, and all those from the county and city who remained dedicated throughout the long journey to opening the hotel.

June 12, 2023 – Neenah, WI – Cobblestone Hotels celebrated the groundbreaking of their new hotel that is coming soon to Julesburg, Colorado.
Members of the community of Julesburg and larger Sedgewick County gathered alongside representatives from Cobblestone Hotels to speak on the journey of bringing the Cobblestone Inn & Suites to Julesburg. Speakers from the Sedgwick County Chamber of Commerce, the Sedgwick County Economic Development Committee, and the Town of Julesburg spoke on the impact that bringing this hotel to Julesburg would have on the community. Representatives from the Points West Community Bank and the Stretesky Foundation were also in attendance to voice their support and share their vision for the hotel.
The ceremony kicked off with a few words from Tim Shefchik, Vice President of Development for Cobblestone Hotels, who expressed his gratitude to the many organizations who worked tirelessly to get this project off the ground.
Rhonda Graham with the Sedgwick County Chamber of Commerce was the next to speak. Graham expressed her gratitude on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce and the Sedgwick County EDC, to all of those who helped to bring this hotel to Julesburg, and who in turn have taken action to support the growth and improvement of Julesburg and Sedgwick County. Don Schneider with the County Commissioners echoed this sentiment, saying “It’s only the beginning of what’s going to happen out here”.
The Stretesky Foundation has been a major supporter of bringing the hotel to Julesburg, and, in cooperation with Rick Jenkins, secured the land where the future hotel will reside. David Carlson, speaking on behalf of the Stretesky Foundation, said “We feel that this hotel can be the start of some great improvements to this interchange”, citing major area events and attractions that bring thousands of visitors to Julesburg each year. The Cobblestone Inn & Suites will play a large part in supporting the lodging needs of these visitors and will keep business local to Julesburg and Sedgwick County.
This hotel will be a 58 room, three story facility. Guests will be able to enjoy Cobblestone’s consistent amenities, such as 24-hour Seattle’s Best Coffee service, high-speed internet access, and a complimentary hot breakfast each morning. Guestrooms will be equipped with flat-panel televisions, microwaves, refrigerators, and in-room personal coffee brewers.
The Cobblestone Inn & Suites – Julesburg will also host a business center, fitness center, onsite convenience store, and meeting room to meet the needs of both locals and travelers who are seeking lodging in Julesburg and the surrounding area.

This Inn & Suites will be the tenth Cobblestone hotel in the state of Colorado.
The Cobblestone Inn & Suites will be located at 21365 County Road 28 in the town of Julesburg. This property is being constructed by BriMark Builders and managed by Slate Hospitality Group.
