September 17, 2024– Neenah, WI – Cobblestone Hotels announces the grand opening and official ribbon cutting of the Riverstone Suites in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The community of Chippewa Falls gathered to officially welcome Riverstone to the city. Attendees included members of the Wogernese family, representatives of the City of Chippewa Falls, representatives from the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, and representatives from the Cobblestone Hotels corporate team. Many speakers present at the ceremony shared their enthusiasm about the growth that the addition of this hotel represents for Chippewa County, in terms of supporting local businesses, keeping visitors in the city when they travel for business or events, and generating tax dollars that will be poured back into promoting growth for the city and the surrounding Chippewa County. Jamie Lee Brand, Market President of Northwestern  Bank, shared his support for the Riverstone when he stated, “The hotel will have a lasting effect on the community for a long time to come”. 

The completion of this project also marks a milestone for the Cobblestone brand, and represents a vision brought to reality for the  Wogernese family, who have deep ties within the community. The Riverstone is the first of its kind for the Cobblestone Brand and was one of the late founder Brian Wogernese’s final initiatives. Jeremy Griesbach, President of Development for Cobblestone  Hotels, stated “We’re very proud to be here and share this with yourselves and with the community of Chippewa Falls” Speaking o f  the late owner, Griesbach shared “Thought a lot on the drive over here today on what Brian would want to say… The first thing that popped into my head when I was thinking about that was seeing him stand up here with a smile on his face”.
