March 28, 2024 – Neenah, WI – Cobblestone Hotels celebrated the grand opening and official ribbon cutting ceremony for their new hotel and restaurant in  Cullman, Alabama. 

Representatives of the City of Cullman, members of the investment group Opportunity Cullman, LLC, representatives of the Cullman Economic Development  Agency and representatives of the Cobblestone Hotels corporate team gathered alongside enthusiastic members of the community of  Among the first to speak at the ceremony was Mayor Woody Jacobs. “We’ve always wanted something in this area” Jacobs said. Heritage Park, located just over a  mile northeast of the hotel, is home to an expansive sports complex that brings thousands of visitors to Cullman year-round sa huge deal, to bring people  in twelve months out of the year right now here at Heritage Park” Jacobs said ”…now we will be able to continue this flow of people coming in, and they’re going to  use this hotel a lot” 

Eddie Canaday, representing the investor group Opportunity Cullman, LLC, praised the teamwork exercised between the city of Cullman and the Cobblestone Hotels development team to bring this much-needed source of lodging to Cullman. “This hotel would not be here, and it would not be in this location, without the  foresight of the City of Cullman” Canaday said, as he went on to describe the economic impact that the city’s investment into parks and recreation, specifically the  development of Heritage Park, has had on the economy of Cullman. This hotel and attached Wissota Chophouse are a product of that development.  

Jeremy Griesbach, President of Development for Cobblestone Hotels, also took a moment to thank the investors, financing partners, and community members  who played a part in bringing Cobblestone to the community. “What was really great, when we got to Cullman, and what was really cool, is the pride that everyone  seemed to have for their town”. Griesbach expressed his enthusiasm over the growth that the city of Cullman has seen over the last few years, which shows no  signs of slowing. 

Griesbach also shared that Cullman represents the first of hopefully many Cobblestone locations in the state of Alabama, with the groundbreaking ceremony for  the second Cobblestone in Alabama having taken place the previous month in Foley, AL. The opening of the Cullman location also marks an exciting milestone for  the Wissota Chophouse brand, with it being the ninth open Wissota location overall, and the second outside of Wisconsin.
