June 10, 2025 – Neenah, WI – Cobblestone Hotels celebrated the grand opening and official ribbon cutting ceremony for their new hotel  Foley, AL. In attendance were members of both the South Baldwin Chamber and Coastal Alabama Business Chamber; representatives from the investment group Select Site Ventures, LLC, and officials from the City of  Foley. Members of Cobblestone Hotels, the hotel management company Slate Hospitality Group, and the construction team at BriMark Builders were also present.  

Frank Shepard, Director of Membership for the South Baldwin Chamber  emceed the grand opening, boated that “there has been a ton of excitement” around this project and stated “this is more than a beautiful hotel … but this is also an answer to a growing needing in our community.” City of Foley Administrator Mike Thompson echoed this by saying, “having a hotel literally walking distance of our event center, really makes a difference in us maintaining some of the lodging from our sports facility.” 

Jeremy Griesbach, President of Development for Cobblestone Hotels, expressed the brand’s excitement to be in Foley for the grand opening of their second location in Alabama plus one location under  construction in Bay Minette, AL and works on other projects in the area as well, thanks to the support of Jeff ‘Coach’ Rouzie. Griesbach  shared his gratitude for Rouzie, the City of Foley including the Mayor, Mike Thompson, inspections team, planning commission and utilities,  noting “Everyone has been so helpful and made this a great project. It is always great to work with people who want to work with you!”  Thanks was also give to Alabama Credit Union for their help in financing this project.
