September 18, 2025 – Neenah, WI – Cobblestone Hotels celebrated breaking ground on their new hotel in Montevallo, AL.  

An enthusiastic crowd gathered at the site of the new hotel to celebrate the addition of the Cobblestone Hotel & Suites to the community of Montevallo. In attendance were representatives from multiple area organizations including the City of Montevallo, Shelby County, and Central State Bank. Rusty Nix, Mayor for the City of Montevallo, shared his enthusiasm for the project and his excitement for the future of the city. The Cobblestone Hotel & Suites will be conveniently located in downtown Montevallo, which is populated by dozens of restaurants and small businesses that the hotel will support. Montevallo also hosts many events and attractions that bring people to the city year-round, including institutions such as the University of Montevallo and the Alabama National Cemetery, both of which are just minutes away from the site of the new hotel. Nix voiced his optimism that the hotel will give people a place to stay while they are visiting the city, and the hotel will ultimately “provide an uptick in revenue for businesses and business owners”, prompting further economic growth in Montevallo.  

Representatives from Cobblestone Hotels came out to show their support for the new hotel, which exemplifies both the growth of the brand along with the growth of small-town America, which is central to the mission of Cobblestone. This  Cobblestone Hotel & Suites location is Cobblestone’s fourth hotel to break ground in Alabama in 3 years, illustrating the  brand’s rapid growth into the Southern United States. 

This hotel will be a fifty-four room facility spanning four floors. Guests will be able to enjoy Cobblestone’s consistent amenities such  as Seattle’s Best Coffee service, high-speed internet access, and a complimentary hot breakfast each morning. Guestrooms will be  equipped with flat-panel televisions, microwaves, refrigerators, and in-room personal coffee brewers.  

The Cobblestone Hotel & Suites will be located at 555 Main Street in Montevallo, Alabama. This hotel will host an onsite lounge, patio with firepit, business center, indoor swimming pool, onsite fitness center, and onsite convenience store to meet the needs of  those seeking lodging in the Montevallo area. The property is being constructed by Brimark Builders and is managed by Slate  Hospitality Group.
