NEENAH, WISCONSIN – Cobblestone Hotels announced the groundbreaking of the coming soon Cobblestone Hotel & Suites in International Falls that took place Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
Paul Nevanen, the Director of the Koochiching Economic Development Authority, kicked off the ceremony. He noted this is the first hospitality project that has been built in International Falls since the late 1980s.
Mayor Harley Droba also joined the ceremony and noted the growth International Falls is experiencing. From new businesses to street development, everything that has been accomplished in the last year is part of the vision to continue to grow International Falls with recreation and tourism.

NEENAH, WISCONSIN – Cobblestone Hotels announced the official groundbreaking of the coming soon Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Yuma Colorado that took place March 30, 2021.
This location has been in Cobblestone Hotels’ radar since 2012, when the brand portfolio consisted of only 10 locations. Now, almost ten years later, and a portfolio of over 150 locations, Cobblestone Hotels is thrilled to add the seventh location in the state of Colorado.
“This is a community that I felt very confident and excited to be a part of.” Said Tim Shefchik, Vice President of Development of Cobblestone Hotels. “From 2012 until now I have had many conversations with members of the community, but it just wasn’t quite the right time, but now it is.”
The hotel
will be located off Highway 34, will have 45 guest rooms. The hotel will
feature an onsite lounge, convenience store, meeting room, fitness room, and
more.
Phil
Riggleman, Yuma County Economic Development Director, discussed the need for lodging
in Yuma county, the impact on Yuma County economy, and the jobs it will create.
“These
projects are put together with local community investors and driven by the
entire community start to finish.” Said Brian Wogernese, CEO of Cobblestone
Hotels. “It really comes down to having
the right community-minded investors that want to see the community moving forward
and growing in the future.”
Wogernese
also noted the hotel brand started in 2008, and he recalled coming to Yuma in
2012; and while it took some time to get the project moving, it was well worth
the wait.

back to Florida for their brand conference being held October 17 & 18, 2021
at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista.

and have partnered with a location that makes cleaning and properly sanitizing a

The toll the pandemic has taken on the lodging and travel
industry is not lost on Cobblestone. With the intention to safely gather
general managers, owners, and partners, Cobblestone Hotels also announced they
are covering the lodging fees, meals, and registration fees for the general managers,
to help lower the burden to the franchisees.
Cobblestone also announced a grand opening and groundbreaking
tour being held at the end of this month to celebrate the openings of 2020.
Cobblestone opened 14 new locations in 2020, and have continued traveling,
developing, and opening hotels despite the pandemic. Wogernese said the hotel
industry is a 24-hour, 7-days a week business and it was important to show team
members on the front line, that they were right there with them, sleeves rolled
up, and not delegating from home.
2021 also has a positive outlook for brand growth; they have
