December 18, 2025 – Neenah, WI – Cobblestone Hotels celebrated the grand opening and official ribbon cutting ceremony for their new hotel in Eaton, Ohio. The ceremony took place in the lobby of the newly opened hotel, with  representatives from various area organizations such as the Preble  County Development Partnership, City of Eaton, and members of the  Cobblestone Hotels corporate team showing up to support the hotel and  reflect on what this new endeavor means for the future of Eaton.  

Justin Sommer, Director of Economic Development for Preble County,  shared that there has been a need in the community for a hotel like this  

for a long time, to support local Eaton businesses as well as the many social events that take place in Eaton year-round. “This hotel  will service a huge need in our community” Sommers said, “instead of those dollars going to Richmond or to Dayton, we get to keep  those in our community, so we are really excited about the multiplier effect that this will have”.  

Eaton is home to dozens of restaurants, shops, educational & recreational organizations, and other small businesses that will  benefit from the presence of a hotel to keep visitors in town for longer. Sharing his vision for the hotel from the perspective of the  city, Brad Collins, City Manager for the City of Eaton, noted that “Most importantly, it represents continued progress and growth,  helping us enhance the overall quality of life for our residents”. In serving not only the needs of citizens, but also the needs of the  business and organizations that call Eaton home, the hotel represents another avenue for the city to collect revenue and continue  investing it into community initiatives and future projects.  

The addition of this hotel also serves as a marker of growth for Cobblestone Hotels, with this being the fifth location in Ohio and the  second opening in the state for the brand this year. Jeremy Griesbach, President of Development with Cobblestone Hotels, shared his enthusiasm for the growth of the brand and extended his thanks to all teams involved that had to juggle many moving parts to  bring this project to fruition. Griesbach addressed this crowd, whose passion for the city and its people was evident, stating that “The  final product makes it all worth it”.
